CAMPERVAN! AMAZING MODERN, SHINY, ECONOMICAL LITTLE

If you are looking for a modern, stunning, shiny, beautiful, economical (55mpg) little campervan that has spotless paintwork and is as easy to drive as a car and wont upset your neighbours this little camper is for you! She is absolutely super for a lazy afternoon parked up overlooking the beach reading a good book and sipping a cuppa, she’s fully equipped and she’s ready for you to eat, sleep and be merry in! She has a very simple but totally effective design which makes the most of the space available, even though she is only a small campervan the clever layout makes her seem a lot bigger. When you step into the back of the van you are in the business end, there is plenty of headroom, this is where you cook, wash up and bathe, then you step up into the lounge/bedroom area to relax, that’s it, very functional, very logical, and simply brilliant! She is a Romahome High-top and was born in 2004 and has gleaming white rust free paintwork, she has been very well looked after with no rust spots or blemishes, her previous owner kept her garaged and she looks years younger than her real age!! She has had her interior reupholstered and the linings replaced with much more durable midnight blue fabric. She has all the normal Roma-home facilities: on the right as you step in there is the flavel double hob and griLl,l below the cooker is an Elecrolux three way fridge which can run off the leisure battery and also off 240v when hooked up in a campsite. There is switch which allows the fridge to operate whilst on the move (very handy for longer trips) this does not run down the leisure battery but operates from the main van battery. The fridge is also connected to the gas supply so can work when camping off the grid. There is also a porta-potti which is neatly put away in the cupboard under the sink so you will never be caught short!! Turn around and you have a sink with a small tap which triggers a powerful pump that is connected to the on board water supply- which can hold up to 5 gallons of fresh water, this supply can be filled externally via a cap located by the driver’s door. When not using the sink then there is a cover turning it into a very handy worktop. The kitchen area also has a mirror, an enclosed wardrobe and overhead lighting. She has also had the electrics overhauled as the original lighting in a normal romahome is pretty basic and uses too much electricity, she has been converted to LED’s with overhead ceiling spot-lighs, floor lights and a directional reading light, she looks amazing at night! These use a fraction of the electricity of the normal lighting and are essential if you want to run solely off the leisure battery. There is also a fab LED TV with freeview and built in DVD player, on the roof there is a super aerial with a 12v booster kit, the TV is on a swivel bracket so you can move to view it where ever you are sitting. She may not look as big as most campervans, but she can sit 4 adults comfortably with plenty of legroom and headroom, each seat is almost 6 feet long. She feels a lot bigger inside due to the massive windows which can open up to 90 degrees and really let the outside in and feels bright and spacious, not dark and pokey. There is a drop down table at the end of each sofa, very handy for popping down your book and having forty winks! If you fancy a quick nap then you can stretch out on the bench seat, but for maximum comfort then it only takes a minute to get the bed out. The bed is a good size, it covers the whole width of the van which is about 5 foot and the space behind the front seats can be utilised to provide over six foot of length. The bed is very easy to make, you simply place two wooden supports across the gap between the sofas, then slide the sofa bases across, that’s it! It is a lovely feeling, when you’ve found a good camping spot and you’re tucked up, curtains drawn, radio on softly, sipping a bed time drink whilst reading a good book, ah, the simple pleasures in life! Another great feature is that in the morning you just need to sit at the end of the bed to make breakfast as everything is in easy reach, just the job for breakfast in bed!! The rear door is a barn style, so you can have the bottom section closed whilst the top is open, this is really great when cooking and you still want the “camping” feeling. We found it a great little feature that we could just drive away with the bed still in place, great for early starts when you need to just get up and go. The door windows, along with the lounge windows are double glazed, making She lovely and warm when it’s chilly outside, the great insulation along with the compact layout means it’s lovely and warm, so those Spring and Autumn getaways are more than viable. There are several drive away awnings available which more than double the space inside, great if you are camping somewhere for a while. There is so much storage space, the storage areas under the seats are lined with carpet so all your clothes, blankets etc will not come out smelling all “musty”, there is also plenty of storage above the cab, which is ideal at night to chuck all your bits and bobs up when making the bed - unless it has already been commandeered as a playden! Or if you have a dog it is an ideal dogden! She is very easy to drive as she is not that much bigger than an estate car, the driving position is the same as a normal car, you just have to get used to using the side mirrors. The engine is an 1800cc diesel which runs like a dream and is ultra-economical for a campervan, returning 50+mpg. She has covered 117,000 miles, the French make fantastic diesel engines and have been making this engine for 30 years, it is said to be a bulletproof workhorse so do not be put off by the mileage, these engines go on and on and there is plenty of life in her and we are more than happy for you to organise a RAC or AA inspection to give her a thorough going over, I am sure she would love the attention! Okay, the bad bits, the rear driver side brake light lense has been knocked and needs to be replaced, it is stil legal but just looks a bit rubbish! I have ordered a new one which will arrive in 2 weeks. We have lost the CD front cover so you would need to buy a new one. So She requires a new home, she won’t take up much room on a driveway, she won’t upset the neighbours like other “carbuncle” vans would, she is the perfect vehicle to escape the monotony of normal life either down to the beach to whittle away a summer afternoon with a good book and a cuppa, or, for the more adventurous an exciting, economical European adventure! She is taxed till the end of December and she has a years MOT. Having this little camper in your life means there is no excuse just to get up and go! The only preparation you will need is to grab your milk, tea bags and a good book!! So if you fancy popping up for a cup of Yorkshire tea to see for yourself how lovely she is then feel free to get in touch, we may be able to drive to you if you are serious. Either way, happy camping :)
